Food Glorious Food!

Here's a little selection of my recent pet food commissions.

With a bit of studio and a bit of location photography, with dogs and three generations of cats, it's been a great start to the year.

Owls!

After a very busy year it's great to have a moment to head to the editing suite and be able to share a new personal project with you all.

Joining back up with animal handler Mark Amey, my creative collaborator Emma Taylor and with the help of Leica's Sven Kupfer and Thomas Schmidt; with a Leica S007 in hand I set about photographing a beautiful and inspiring set of owls.

With an Ashy Faced Owl, a Scops Owl, Snowy Owl, Eagle Owl, Little Owl and a Barn Owl to work with it was great to see how the camera effortlessly brought out incredible detail in the feathers, especially when it came to subtle and unusual tonal range on our Ashy Faced friend.

I hope you enjoy looking at the project as much as I enjoyed shooting it!

Donkey en France

The eagle eyed amongst you will have spotted a few new personal shots dotted around the various sections of my website.

One of my favourites though is this lovely chap I met in France.

REAL LIFE SUPER MODELS ...

A year in the planning and execution, involving a nationwide search for funny, characterful 'Real Dogs' to adorn Dog Chow's new packaging, in tandem with a European promotional campaign to find the stories behind real dogs who are super models to their loving owners, BETA Dog Chow has now launched across Europe.

Shooting in UK, Spain and Poland with Seymour Powell and AFG/McCann, we had some of the biggest laughs we've had on shoots as the dogs strutted their stuff to produce some truly memorable portraits.

Fabulous concept from Seymour Powell so thanks to Nicole, Rebecca, Claire and Alex for their talent and dedication and to Tiago and Lorna for being such supportive clients.

LOOPY ABOUT LILY'S KITCHEN

We were thrilled to work on a quirky campaign with Lily's Kitchen and Who Wot Why to reassure affectionate pet owners that the love they showed to their pets wasn't bonkers.

Now breaking in Press, Social media and a Poster Campaign across London, our cat and dog heroes show their 'pet parents' just how life should be lived from their point of view.

Thanks to Anne, Simeon, Matt and Paul at Who Wot Why for creating 'no ordinary pet food campaign' - a pleasure to be involved in such an original concept.

Zoopla

I can now reveal what I was recently working on in Costa Rica.

Some of you will have spotted these lovely hermit crabs up on billboards across the UK. 101 London commissioned this great campaign, bringing onboard a 3D printing expert and model maker, Simon Tayler from Artem, to construct and paint our hermit crabs new homes.

The shells were introduced to Costa Rica's native hermit crabs with the help of a crack team of Marine Biologists.

Special thanks to creatives Ryan Delahanty & Serhan Asim for making this such a fun project to work on.

Costa Rica

Here are a few new friends I made on a recent trip to Costa Rica.

Travelling around this beautiful Caribbean coast offered a great opportunity to see a lot of the countries incredible animals and arachnids, including the Green Hermit Hummingbird and this handsome Three Toed Sloth.

Myself and the team were out there working on a fantastic ad campaign, but for now my lips are sealed on that part of our journey. Watch this space!
